About Artistry by Cleo

The thought of an art shop was originally brought up in 2016 while in college. While the art classes continued, the more serious I grew about my art career. I decided to start selling my art on the side while I worked a full-time job on top of doing college full-time. It started with selling my art prints at local conventions, art markets, and college markets. After a couple of months, I started to make stickers and then started producing acrylic charms. Once I realized everything I could make with my art, I found myself exploring the endless possibilities.

With the support of many friends and family members, Artistry by Cleo officially launched in 2022. The goal is to provide nostalgic happiness through wholesome content that you may have grown up with.

About Cleo - The Artist

Hello! I’m Cleo also known as Snickercat and Artistry by Cleo. I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember and knew I wanted to go to school for art! I made that dream a reality and I graduated from the University of Houston – Clear Lake with two degrees, a bachelor's in graphic design and a master’s in digital media studies.

I used to struggle with my purpose for drawing and what I wanted to focus on creating. Recently, I’ve started to hit the nostalgia strings in my heart by jumping back in time and connecting back to my roots of why I started drawing in the first place. By finding this newly found passion, I want to incorporate that nostalgia into my art and share that happiness with others who may have also enjoyed the same things when they were younger.

My husband and I moved from Texas to Virginia due to a new job. I work a regular 9 – 5 office job and when I’m not working there, I spend my time creating content for my art shop. We have a beautiful little pineapple green cheek conure named Cooroo (kuh-rue) who helps with the art and packing orders.

While my art shop is still relatively new, I hope that you will join me on this journey of traversing the art world and navigating the happiness of nostalgia.

"My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

- Colossians 2:2-3 NIV
