Hello Friend!

The thought of Artistry by Cleo was born in 2016 during my bachelor's degree. I started to take my art more seriously and decided that I was going to start selling it on the side while working full-time and going to school. I would print my drawings and take them to local conventions, art markets, and college markets where I would sell my work. After a couple of months, my prints turned into stickers, stickers turned into acrylic charms, and eventually, I found myself exploring the endless possibilities that I could do with my shop.

With the support of many friends and family members, Artistry by Cleo officially launched in 2022 at the beginning of the year. The brand focuses on my personal view of the world and shows that inspiration within the artwork, hoping to provide a new alternative story or viewpoint to others.

About Cleo

Cleo Kantz-Schultz has a bachelor's in graphic design and a master's in digital media studies both from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. She self-published her own one-shot comic back in 2019 and has tabled at many conventions in Texas. 

​

She spends a lot of her time reading, drawing, and playing on her switch after working at her 9-5 job. Her favorite beverage is hot tea and she enjoys snuggling up in a super soft blanket and watching anime with her husband. She also has a pet conure named Cooroo.

SHOP POLICIES

By shopping at artistrybycleo.com you automatically accept the terms below.

SHIPPING

  • The shipping duration is dictated by the courier service. I’m not responsible for or in control of courier delays.

  • USPS First Class Mail takes between 5-7 days. This is the default shipping service for most orders made through this website.

  • USPS Priority Mail takes between 1-3 days. 

  • I do not have estimates for International shipping.

  • If a package is returned to me by the courier due to failure to deliver, you must purchase shipping again.

All orders are processed within 1 - 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.

You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. Details will always be posted to my socials if something arises, but if you have any concerns please feel free to contact me at artistrybycleo@gmail.com

If you placed multiple orders and you would like them to all be shipped within one box, please contact me ASAP to let me know that is what you want. Otherwise, there may be a possibility that your items arrive at different time frames.

I am not responsible for delays due to customs or postal delays. 

​

Domestic & International Shipping

​

  • If shipping outside of the US, please make sure you have chosen the proper shipping at checkout.

​​

  • Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. I am not responsible for these charges, if they are applied, it is your responsibility to pay for them.


How do I check the status of my order?

​

  • When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us stating your order has shipped. Please note, that if you want a tracking number, you must purchase the shipping that comes with a tracking. If you did not, please email me immediately and I will try my best to upgrade your order to have tracking.

​

  • If you haven’t received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact me with your name and order number, and I will look into what has happened.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES, & CANCELLATIONS

  • Please feel free to email me and I would be happy to offer what I can help with if it's within my parameters. If we agree on a return, you must pay for the shipping to have it returned. I want you to love your order and if something has happened, I would like to try and fix it. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

 

  • To start the process, please contact me at artistrybycleo@gmail.com before sending back the order. Please include your name and your order number, a photo of the product(s), and explain why you want a refund/return.

 

  • You can always contact me with any type of question you may have regarding this policy. I would be happy to answer.

Damages & Issues

 

  • Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right.

​

 

Refund/ Return Process/ Exchange 

 

  • If we have agreed upon a refund, please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

  • If we have agreed upon an exchange, you will receive your new item(s) once we have received the old item(s). We will keep in constant communication with you throughout the process. 

​

Cancellations

​

  • If you need to cancel your order(s), please reach out to me immediately and I will cancel and refund the order. 

​​

  • If your order has already been shipped out, I unfortunately cannot cancel and refund the order while it is in shipment. Please send me an email once you have received your order and we can work together to get your order refunded. You will have to pay for the shipping to send the item(s) back, but the remainder of your refund will be sent back to you once we receive the product back in our hands.

  • Please remember that I will be more than willing to work with you because I want this to be an exciting experience for you.

Additional Information

​

  • If we try to make things right and have sent 2 replacement item(s)  and you are still not receiving the said item(s) due to the courier losing the package, we will not send it to the same address anymore. We will ask for a new address and you will have to pay for the new shipping.

  • If we send to a new address and the item(s) are not received, we will not send any more replacements and will not send packages to those addresses. We will work with you in trying a different solution through communication.  

PRIVACY

  • Out of respect for your privacy, besides what the shop requires to fulfill an order, I will not store or save your information.

COMMISSION CONTRACT

General Terms - Prices are subject to change based on demand. - I have the right to reject any order for any reason. If you have a specific type of commission in mind that is not listed within the product section in the shop, feel free to email me and we can discuss what type of commission you are looking for and a price will be approved together. All communication must be held through email, please allow 1 - 2 business days for responses. Payment - The currency accepted is USD. - If contacted for commission and once a price has been agreed upon, 50% must be paid upfront for the commission to start. - Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront. Once 50% is paid upfront, it is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid before receiving the files from the artist. - Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to give you a slot and requested you to send me the payment. - Once a price has been approved, I will send you an invoice via PayPal of the commission of either the 100% or 50% payment depending on which one you prefer. If you decide on the 50% payment, another listing will be created for you to pay the remaining balance before receiving the art files. Process & Delivery - The time it takes to finish your commission varies from 1 week - 3 months depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, other work, and con seasons. - Once the piece is finished you will receive the full-resolution image along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product. Depending on where you live, we can arrange to print your artwork for an additional cost. Just make sure to ask for it upfront before the first 50% payment is made. - All files will be put into an organized folder that will then be zipped/compressed and sent via email to whichever email we have been conversing through after the final payment has been received. ​ Revisions - You get 3 rounds of changes on the commissioned piece included in the price. - A fee will be added if you want something changed on the final drawing - unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made. - If you wish for me to change something in the drawing you have previously approved, I will charge you a fee to change it. The amount of the extra charge depends on the change you want me to make and is usually based on an hourly wage. - If your reference is unclear to start with changes will come at an extra charge. Copyright & Usage I, "Cleo Kantz-Schultz" (the artist): -I reserve the right to cancel and refund the order at any time for any reason. - I retain all copyrights over the commissioned artwork unless we have discussed a commercial contract. - I will NOT claim the intellectual property (IP) of the commissioned artwork. - I will NOT profit further from the commissioned artwork unless you (the customer) break any of the terms. - I reserve the right to post the commissioned artwork online, in my portfolio as well as in publications such as art books, unless we've agreed upon a commercial contract. You (the customer/commissioner): - You may upload the commissioned artwork on any website and social channels. - You may NOT make profits from the commissioned piece (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD services, making prints, etc.) unless we've agreed upon a commercial contract. - You may NOT alter the commissioned artwork without my (the artist's) consent. - You MAY be allowed to sell the artwork if it is a part of a commercial contract that both parties have agreed upon. Please discuss this with me prior to paying for the artwork. - You retain the rights to the intellectual property (IP). - You may NOT use the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes unless we've agreed upon a commercial contract The following is considered copyright infringement:​ - Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way not excluded from these terms. - Claiming the artwork as your own. (Such as, claiming you were the one that drew the piece.) - Altering the artwork without my consent. - In some cases, the commercial rights to the image may be purchased. Cancellation & Refund - The buyer is not allowed a refund once I, the artist, started working on the commission. - If for any reason I, the artist, am unable to start your commission you will receive a full refund. - If you cancel your order before I started it, you can get a full refund. - If you are getting a refund, I will transfer the money back to you myself. ​ What do you, the consumer/customer, receive out of this? - Drafts/mockups that you must decide which one I should continue with (depending on the complexity of the commission there might be fewer or more drafts). - Sketch and/or final sketches that you must accept before I continue the work. - Insight and involvement in color plan (depending on the complexity of the commissioned piece). - Full-resolution file (approx. 210 x 297 mm at 300 DPI) of the final drawing and a smaller version for internet upload. Final file formats are usually PNG.
